Since 1995 DDS elettronica has been designing and producing
the electronics for vetroceramic hobs, an area in which touch control is very useful as it allows the tops
to remain well sealed from fluids and dirt, as well as making cleaning easier.
The
first version of touch control began with an optical switch , based on infrared technology using a
transmitter and receiver incapsulated in a rubber housing. Using a microprocessor with highly complex
software it was able able to detect an infra-red-emitting object on the surface of the glass (max thickness 2/3mm), while
eliminating environmental 'noise' , like light , steam , and water. Today DDS
elettronica have improved the system with new 'Capacitative' technology . By using a printed
circuit and special pads, the electronics are able to check an object compared to a ground level ,
in this case the object would be a human finger . High precision is guaranteed by measuring the signal level
on the pads to a high degree of accuracy. The advantages today are low cost in mass production , high
stability and precision of measurement , no reset and adjust is necessary on first installation , and increased
safety performance on water leakage from the pot .
DDS Elettronica in this case don't have any standard product ready to sell , just
the technology , however, we can customize it to suit any application on specification.
DDS123 -Touch
control .
This is one of the capacitive touch control units , in production today
for one of our customers .
As seen in the picture , the upper printed circuit is the keyboard with special pads
(capacitive sensors), and has no protuding components, therefore no special fitting is necessary to mount the control
in the cooktop .
All of the applications made by DDS Elettronica use FLASH technology , so the customer can
up-date the software at anytime .
Electronic Control For
Ovens .
Also in the cooking sector, we have developed hardware and software applications for controlling domestic ovens .
Temperature can be maintained to within 1 or 2 degrees in all cooking modes.
We have worked in this sector for many years , and because of our
production line, we can produce a high quantity of electrical circuits at a competitive price , and a high level of quality .
